Love, Betrayal, Death (in Opera) Concert at St Giles’ Cripplegate on Saturday October 20th (starting with mini wine tasting at 5:45 pm).

GS Wines and partners will present an exciting evening of music (mainly operatic arias), a little wine tasting of Italian wines plus an optional 3-course luxury Italian dinner – a complete night out for as little £53.50 (after applying appropriate discounts and booked directly through Gordon – see contact details below).

Our internationally accomplished singers, Monique Loricchio Klongtruadroke (Soprano)  and Yuri Sabatini (Tenor) will be joined by talented newcomers Giulia Laudano (Mezzo) and Jacob Feldman (baritone) – a fine replacement for Michael Ronan who had to pull out.  This stunning quartet will delight you with their glorious voices and superb technique as they perform songs portraying a huge range of emotions around major operatic themes of Love, Betrayal and Death (although this time we are focusing more on Love!). The programme will include arias from some of the best loved operas such as Bizet’s sumptuous Pearl Fisher’s duet, Mozart’s  spectacular Hell’s Revenge from the Magic Flute and the wonderful Quartet from Verdi’s Rigoletto.

This unique event promises to be an uplifting experience and a real treat for music lovers, especially opera fans.  Our audience, especially wine lovers can look forward to a mini wine tasting of 3 high quality Italian wines from 5:45 pm plus a free glass of wine at the Interval (for Premium ticket holders, this includes Barolo), along with fruit juice and snacks (performance starts at 7 pm, and ends around 9 pm). [Please note that non-alcoholic drinks will also be available for those who do not want wine].

As a further optional treat, Osteria Restaurant in the Barbican Centre (very close to the concert venue) are offering ticket holders a special 3-course post concert dinner deal with a glass of fizz for concert ticket holders at only £26 a head. The chef has prepared a special menu for us (which includes Vegitarian and Vegan options). As an example, a possible combination could be Starter – Chestnut Mushroom Soup, Main – Pan-fried Hake (with Samfire etc), Pudding – Tonka Bean Panecotta with Blackberries’.
